Driver Stopped For Speeding Whilst Trying to Cash £30k Lottery Win

It isn’t easy to keep your cool when you realise you are a winner.

Young Scott Lowe, aged 22, was in a state of high excitement when he realised he’d won the equivalent of £30,000 on a Massachusetts State Lottery scratchcard. The only thing he had to do was to get to the lottery headquarters to claim his prize.

He was driving to collect his winnings when local Hingham police spotted him travelling well over the speed limit. Scott was pulled over and was visibly shaking as he blurted out the reason for his haste.

Officers must hear every excuse in the book for speeding and are usually very cynical. These agents of the law, however, had a sense of humour and let Scott go with just a warning about speeding. So, he not only wins a small fortune, he escapes paying a fine too. Lucky man indeed!
